Absentee Voting:
Registered voters who are ill, disabled, or will be absent from the municipality, including college students living on campus, on Election Day may vote by absentee ballot. Applications must be received must be received by Berks County Election Services by the date published prior to the election. Absentee ballots must be received by Berks County Election Services by 5pm on the date published prior to each election. For emergencies after the deadline, please contact Berks County Election Services.

The material in this Voters’ Guide was compiled by the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania Citizen Education Fund via Vote 411. Candidates were invited via email to participate in the questionnaire. All reasonable efforts were made to encourage candidates to participate. Responses received from candidates on the ballot by the date published prior to the election will be included in this guide. Each candidate's reply has been printed as submitted, with the exception of resized photos (for the sake of space) and the spelling out of party names for clarity. Candidates appear in the order in which the data from Vote411 was collected. No candidate was given preference in position or formatting of their responses.
Nothing in this guide should be construed as an endorsement or non-endorsement of any candidate, party, or initiative by the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania-Citizen Education Fund or the League of Women Voters of Berks County.
On Election Day
Voter ID
If you are voting in your precinct for the first time or you are a new voter, you must bring either your voter registration card or a photo ID as identification. If you have voted in your precinct in the past, you do not have to show ID.
Photo ID can include a driver’s license, student ID card, some other Federal or State government issued ID, or a non-photo ID such as a firearm permit, current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, or government check.
Even if you do not have appropriate ID, you are still allowed to vote by provisional ballot.
